NACCED is pleased to host a this webinar featuring the first Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) project completed in Arizona. The Madison Heights Apartments consist of 143 newly constructed unites of affordable housing and include a host of amenities to serve the families who live there. Numerous partners were involved to replace the 1973 barrack-style units, including the Housing Authority of Maricopa County, the Arizona Department of Housing, Gorman & Co., and NACCED member the Maricopa County Human Services Department.

The RAD program was rolled out by HUD in 2012 and allows public housing authorities to convert their public housing units into Section 8 contracts in order to provide more stable and long-term funding for the affordable housing. This webinar will give attendees more information on what the RAD program does, and give an inside look at what it takes to structure one of these projects. Presenters will include representatives from the Maricopa County Human Services Department, the Housing Authority of Maricopa County, and Gorman & Co. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to learn more about the RAD program!
