NACCED Staff

   

Laura DeMaria, Executive Director

Laura DeMaria is the Executive Director of the National Association for County Community and Economic Development (NACCED), which represents local government agencies delivering community development and affordable housing programs across the nation. She is an alumna of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the American University School of Public Affairs, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management. Laura serves on the Board of Directors of L'Arche of Greater Washington and is a volunteer peer mentor with Best Buddies of the Capital Region.

 

 
  Katelynn Harris, Policy Director

Katelynn Harris is the Policy Director of the National Association for County Community and Economic Development (NACCED). She joined NACCED from the National Council of State Housing Finance Agencies (NCSHA), where she served as Legislative and Policy Coordinator. At NCSHA, Katelynn advocated for affordable housing programs including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, the HOME program, the Housing Trust Fund, and Opportunity Zones. Prior to NCSHA, Katelynn interned at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, where she advocated for CRA and GSE Reform. Katelynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Arts in American Politics from Appalachian State University. She also obtained a Professional Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management.

  Sarah Mullen, Membership and Operations Coordinator

Sarah Mullen started in December 2016 as the Membership and Operations Associate of the National Association for County Community and Economic Development (NACCED). Originally from Connecticut, Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from Gettysburg College, PA. Prior to joining SmithBucklin, Sarah worked as a Business Development Associate for Vorsight in Arlington, VA.
