CDBG Financial Reporting

CDBG Financial Reporting is designed to walk grantees through the PR26 - CDBG Financial Summary Report, the Cash on Hand report and submission in IDIS, and related MicroStrategy reports that assist in reconciliations. These are all common topics for technical assistance during the program year. Additionally, the PR26 CDBG Financial Summary Report is a critical component of the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER).

Staff Capacity & Leadership Training

CDBG Basics

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Basics is a live, online training series that is designed specifically for community development practitioners at the local level. This course is meant as a back-to-basics presentation for new CDBG practitioners and can be a refresher for managers.  This webinar series will share the latest information on the background of the program, national objective compliance, eligible activities, housing and other common activities (e.g., public services, facilities, etc.). This training will address cross cutting requirements, including an overview of what is essential to know about the latest rules covered under the CDBG program. Presented by ICF.

CDBG-DR

The Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) is a live, online training series that is designed specifically for community development practitioners at the local level, including grantees who have had recent allocations under the Consolidated and Universal Notice. This course is meant as a presentation for new CDBG-DR practitioners and can be a refresher for managers; however, a baseline knowledge of CDBG is strongly recommended (see NACCED course a month prior, CDBG Basics).  This webinar series will share the latest information on the CDBG-DR program, action plan and process, eligible activities, meeting a national objective and also the basics on the mitigation set aside within the most recent CDBG-DR allocations.

LIHTC 101

LIHTC 101 provides an introduction to Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 42 and low income housing tax credits (LIHTCs), and discusses how LIHTCHs make housing more affordable for low-income households. The Basics presented for NACCED, presents a basic overview of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) incentive, primarily as it relates to the rental property generating the tax credits at the "lower-tier" operating partnership

Fair Housing Training

Fair Housing Training is a live, online training series that is designed specifically for community development practitioners at the local level. Fair Housing, and the basics of the requirements is essential for organizations, to help them best serve their beneficiaries.  This webinar series will share the latest information on the Fair Housing Act, protected classes, systemic issues in our field, and planning. This training will address how community development practitioners can more fully address Fair Housing in their associated planning documents for Community Planning and Development (CPD) programs.
