The “Welcome to Community Development - What Now?” training is designed to walk new grantees through the process of getting started with HUD Community Planning and Development programs. One of the most challenging factors new grantees face is knowing where to go for help. This series will help new grantees get out of the starting blocks by introducing them to resources and tools that are critical to understanding the HUD program requirements. This training will provide participants with a unique perspective to learn where to find program and HUD online system resources and help them utilize these resources more effectively.

Fair Housing Training is a live, online training series that is designed specifically for community development practitioners at the local level. Fair Housing, and the basics of the requirements is essential for organizations, to help them best serve their beneficiaries. CDBG Financial Reporting is designed to walk grantees through the PR26 - CDBG Financial Summary Report, the Cash on Hand report and submission in IDIS, and related MicroStrategy reports that assist in reconciliations. These are all common topics for technical assistance during the program year. Additionally, the PR26 CDBG Financial Summary Report is a critical component of the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER).

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Basics is a live, online training series that is designed specifically for community development practitioners at the local level. This course is meant as a back-to-basics presentation for new CDBG practitioners and can be a refresher for managers. This webinar series will share the latest information on the background of the program, national objective compliance, eligible activities, housing and other common activities (e.g., public services, facilities, etc.).
