Civitas Joins NACCED
WASHINGTON, DC – June 17, 2025 - The National Association for County Community and Economic Development (NACCED) is excited to welcome Civitas as the latest member to join NACCED as a Platinum Associate member!
NACCED’s associate members provide valuable products and services within the affordable housing, community development and economic development industry. These members are established industry leaders, committed to promoting and enhancing the success of counties implementing the nation’s affordable housing and community development programs.
Civitas offers a broad range of services including program technical assistance, training, and strategic planning tailored to local governments, nonprofits, and housing developers. Its recent work spans Arizona, New Mexico, South Carolina, and other states, assisting urban, rural, and tribal jurisdictions through CDBG, HOME, ESG, HOPWA, and Continuum of Care (CoC) programs.
In support of its mission to advance community development and expand technical expertise, Civitas hosts in-person and virtual training sessions on topics such as HUD Consolidated Planning, IDIS implementation, environmental review procedures, citizen participation, grant compliance, and monitoring. These trainings are designed to equip local governments and nonprofit staff with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively administer federal housing and community development programs.
“Joining NACCED aligns with our mission to help communities thrive,” said Erich Chatham, Principal Owner and Lead Consultant at Civitas. “Our team brings deep expertise in affordable housing policy, homelessness solutions, HUD/NEPA environmental reviews, and federal grant administration, including underwriting, Davis-Bacon compliance, Section 3, and procurement under 2 CFR 200 and Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements.”
NACCED is excited to welcome Civitas to the 50th Annual Educational Conference and Training, to be held Sept. 8-11 in Maricopa County, AZ, where attendees will get to meet the Civitas team, as well as hear from them on panels including a general session on Build American, Buy American and a breakout session on NEPA 101.
