2025 Advocacy

NACCED’s congressional advocacy focuses on advancing federal policies and funding that support community development, affordable housing, and economic opportunities at the local level. Representing local grantees across the country, NACCED actively engages with Congress to promote legislation that strengthens programs like the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

In addition to working with Congress, NACCED collaborates closely with federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that administer key housing and community development programs. NACCED provides feedback on proposed regulations, advocates for administrative improvements, and works to ensure that federal policies are responsive to the needs of local governments.
